GEOTEXTILE & GEOMEMBRANE INSTALLATION

A crucial step in any construction project! Installing the geotextile and geomembrane ensures the strength and waterproofing of underground structures.

With precise installation, your EZstorm retention basin is built on solid foundations!

Installation Steps

1

UNROLLING OF THE
NON-WOVEN GEOTEXTILE

This step involves unrolling the non-woven geotextile onto the prepared base and lateral walls of the excavation, serving as a protective layer to prevent soil erosion and promote drainage in the construction area.

2

OVERLAP BETWEEN
THE ROWS OF GEOTEXTILE

To ensure the geotextile barrier's effectiveness, a minimum 300 mm overlap between adjacent rows is vital. This continuity minimizes soil intrusion and water infiltration risks by closing potential gaps in the material.

3

ADDING THE GEOMEMBRANE
BETWEEN THE LAYERS OF GEOTEXTILE

If waterproofing is required by project specifications, a geomembrane layer is inserted between two non-woven geotextile layers, serving as an impermeable barrier to prevent water seepage and enhance the EZStorm structure's integrity.

4

WELDING THE GEOMEMBRANE IN PLACE
BY A COMPETENT AND APPROVED TEAM

Effective waterproofing requires the geomembrane to be installed by a NextStorm-approved team, securely welding it to create a seamless, watertight seal. This meticulous process ensures

long-term effectiveness and enhances construction durability.

Why do we use Geotextile?

Geotextile is a material used for wrapping the EZstorm system for underground storage and ilfiltration.

Geotextile serves several purposes in the installation process

Why do we use Geomembrane?

the geomembrane acts as an impermeable barrier, safeguarding stormwater retention or infiltration systems by obstructing water passage.

It is especially critical in retention scenarios to prevent stormwater leakage into the surrounding soil environement

SEPARATION

Geotextile acts as a barrier between different layeers of soil and the EZstorm system, preventing the mixing of materials and maintaining the integrity of the installation.

FILTRATION

It allows water to pass through while preventing the entry of soil particles, ensuring proper drainage and preventing clogging of the system.

PROTECTION

Geotextile helps protecting the EZstorm system from potential damage caused by external factors, such as abrasion or pucture
