What is a

SDD?

The SDD3 by NEXT Stormwater Solutions is a hydrodynamic oil and grit separator that utilizes both gravitational and centrifugal forces to capture and retain suspended sediments, floating particles and oils from Stormwater runoff.

The SDD3 unique design ensures optimal storm water treatment during light and heavy rainfall events.

100% developed and manufactured in Canada and verified by an independent third-party laboratory

Designed to promote the effect of centrifugal forces while reducing turbulence

High removal performance even at high flow rates

Easy installation and maintenance

How it works?

SDD3 - step 1

1.

Designed to promote the effect of centrifugal forces while reducing turbulence.

In a stationary state, with no input flow, the SDD3 offers a large storage capacity for sediment and oil.  Runoff water enters the unit through the main line (series installation) or through a bypass line (parallel installation).

SDD3 step 2

2.

At low flows, gravitational force is predominant. When the flow increases, the centrifugal forces become more important allowing superior oil and sediment removal.

Thanks to its twin vortices, the SDD3 provides the best removal efficiency even at high flow rates.

Sediments settle and are collected at the bottom while oils are collected and stored in a separated area.

SDD3 Grit step 3

3.

In case of extreme rainfall events, the SDD3 is equipped with an internal bypass to prevent risk of sediments resuspension or washout.

Internal by-pass allows both online and offline configuration.

Nextstorm across Canada

Approved and commercialized
across Canada

From BC to the Maritimes, the SDD3 is the product of choice when it comes to hydrodynamic oil and grit separators.

Easy installation

As easy to install as precast manholes.

The SDD3's internal device can be factory-installed and/or installed on site depending on the project's requirements.
